Everyone had a great first day of school. I hate so much having them grow up. If I could freeze time I think now would be a good time to do it.
Sidney started the 9th grade. She has a pretty tough schedule this year and is doing a bunch of extra curricular activities. She has a great look out and has set some good goals for the year. I know she is going to do fantastic.
Alex is a 7th grader. I was so nervous for her first day. I was sick to my stomach the whole day waiting for her to get done. She loved every minute of it. She felt so good about how well everything went.
Braydon is a 5th grader. He has Miss Nuttall this year. He came home so excited about her and his new class. He has some great friends in his class so it will make the year go great.
Hunter is a 2nd grader. My baby is getting so grown up. He has a new teacher to the school this year named Mrs. Shoop. His favorite part is that he is out in the trailers. This is the first class any of my kids have had a class out there so he thinks that is pretty neat.

Summer Comes to an End
My sister and I decided that we needed to have a pool party before school starts this week. I haven't had a chance to spend much time with my brothers and sister this summer so we had everyone come Friday night.
We had a lot of fun letting the kids just play in the pools. We had a yummy dinner of pizza, bread sticks, and salads. All the adults got to spend time visiting and laughing.

90 years and counting
Eric's grandma turned 90 today. You heard right 90. She is an amazing women and still very with it. She loves to read and sew. She was born in Mexico and lived there until she was 20 then she moved to New Orleans. She meet Eric's grandpa while he was in the military and was stationed in New Orleans. She grew up in a Catholic family and was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when she was in her 30's. She has lived in Utah for the last 65 years. She travels to see her two sisters as often as she can but is getting where she doesn't like to travel very far from home any more.
I am very blessed to have her in my life. My kids are also blessed to have had a chance to have her around.
Happy Birthday Grandma!!

BYU Earth Science Museum
We had a great time at the Paleontology Museum at BYU this week. Alex liked all of the stones and fossils that they had. Hunter was loving everything. Braydon liked all the weird creatures. It is a pretty small museum but the perfect size for a group of 11 kids ages 12 to 0. It was a fun little trip. Seeing the scientists working was pretty neat too.

Idaho Weekend
Our family had a blast going up to Mijken's house this past weekend.
Mijken had a ton of stuff planned for us to do. She is great to let our family come and bombard her family after she has already had a number of visitors.
The first day we went to the little air plane museum up in Rexburg. My boys loved the air planes. We enjoy getting a chance to see new things and learn about the history around us.
On Saturday we went up to the Temple grounds and then walked around the BYUI campus. It is beautiful up there. I loved the gardens. This afternoon we also went to the Teton Dam Museum. The kids and I were amazed by the video we watched about the flood. Wow! It is a miracle so many were saved.
That evening we went up and played at the splash park and then attended the dance festival. It was great. My favorite participate was Egypt this year. their dance was amazing.
I had so much fun getting the chance to visit with Mijken. She is one of my best friends and I love when we get the chance to renew that friendship. I miss her already.
