Thanksgiving 2010

I am so blessed. It has been great this month to think about all the blessings I have in my life. I am most thankful for my family. Some days it gets crazy but I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love my kids and my husband more than anything in this world. How thankful I am to have them in my life. I have loved trying to really be grateful for all of the things in my life. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Amazing People!!

I am so thankful for the amazing women in my life. I work with some of the best women on the planet in PTA and in the Primary. I am so thankful for the example that they are to me. I want to be better because of them. Thank you so much to each of you for who you are and what you do each and everyday! I couldn't do what I do without any of you!!

Music

I love music!! I love to hear my kids practice their instruments, I love to listen to the kids sing primary songs, I love mens voices (especially like when the men sang in sacrament today) I like to have the radio on. I love to listen to Christmas music. All of these that bring the spirit make it even better. What a wonderful Heavenly Father to have included music!!

My Husband

I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with my husband. He works hard to provide for our family. He also works hard at telling me sweet things. I think he is my biggest fan. I love him for it!!

I am so thankful for my mom. She is an amazing person. I am thankful for her will, her testimony, her drive, her ambition, almost everything about her.

I am so glad that she is my mom. She is so amazing. With all of her trials she rarely complains. I want to grow up and be just like my mom.

Testimony

Today I am thankful for a testimony. Sometimes we take for granted how blessed we are to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don't ever remember not having a testimony. What a blessing to know that God lives and loves us. That he answers prayers. Yes life is tough but we are always being blessed and can never come close to the love that He gives us.

Cell love!

Today I am so Thankful for Cell Phones. I know crazy but.... Sidney left on her first trip away from home without me or someone really close. Sidney is in Disneyland today with the Pleasant Grove Band. It was so nice to be able to have her text me and tell me about the things she is doing. I don't know how crazy of a parent I would be without this silly thing. I am so dependent upon my cell phone and hers. I like being able to get in contact all the time. I am very thankful for that technology.

I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father who answers prayers. I don't know if I could make it through this life without the knowledge that I can pray when I need help. It seems that there are more and more days I am asking for that help. I am so blessed to have my prayers answered. I just hope that I can live worthy to continue to collect on those blessing when I need them most.

Thankful Heart

I am thankful that I live in a country where we can vote. I am so thankful that we are given the choice to vote or not and to vote for who we want.

November 2010

Wow where did this year go? I can't believe that today is the first day of November. This year has just flew by.

I found this poem today and wanted to share.

More Than A Day

As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, quite profound.
We may think that we're poor,
Feel like bums, insecure,
But in truth, our riches astound.

We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from heaven above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.

So add up your blessings, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you've got;
Realize it's a lot,
And you'll make all your cares go away.

So this month I want to take the time to reflect on all of the things I am thankful for. What a better way to start off the holiday season.

President Hinckley once said that the two most important words in the English language are "Thank You" I hope that this can be my focus the next month.

Today I am Thankful for the beautiful weather.
