Annie Jr.

The Central Elementary school play is this week. The play is Annie Jr. The kids have had rehearsals since The end of January. There are 50 kids that are part of the show. The whole thing has been done by volunteers, I have never helped with any more than just back stage before. This year I have been helping with the stage crew. It has been a lot of work and I am not even the head of the crew.

Alex is several characters in the play. She is an Apple Seller, a New Yorker and a servant in Daddy Warbucks house. I am so proud of how hard she has worked.

Braydon is on Stage Crew. He is the light tech. He has done a great job. It has been so much fun to watch him learn his job. I am so impressed with how well he jumps in to do what is needed. He is a great kid.

Alex is 12!!

Alex is 12 today. Tomorrow is her first day in Young Womens. I can't believe how fast time has gone. I can remember the day she was born like it was yesterday.

What an amazing girl she has become. I am so proud to be her mother. She is so sweet, she is a hard worker, she is always willing to help, she loves life.

Happy Birthday to our Allie Ballie you are awesome.

Friendship

"Friendship is one of the grand fundamental principles of 'Mormonism'; [it is designed] to revolutionize and civilize the world, and cause wars and contentions to cease and men to become friends and brothers. . . . Friendship is like Brother [Theodore] Turley in his blacksmith shop welding iron to iron; it unites the human family with its happy influence" (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith, p. 463).

Thanks for being my friend. I am truly blessed.

Sweet thoughts

"The most important decision of life is the decision concerning your companion. Choose prayerfully. And when you are married, be fiercely loyal to one another. Selfishness is the great destroyer of happy family life. I have this one suggestion to offer. If you will make your first concern the comfort, the well-being, and the happiness of your companion, sublimating any personal concern to that loftier goal, you will be happy, and your marriage will go on through eternity" (The Teachings of Gordon B. Hinckley, p. 328-329).

I need to work on this and make it a part of my life everyday. I always tend to be more selfish than I should be.

SPRING

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~Anne Bradstreet

I hope next week I can get out and play in the dirt. :)
