Christmas Concerts

The first concert was Alex's Choir Concert.

Santa will be checking his list Twice.

Once it was over we had to hurry over to Sidney's Band concert.
Fun night. They both did great.

Christmas Cookies

Every year we have a night where we decorate Christmas cookies. Here are the results.

Tonight was the Woffinden Family Christmas party. The kids got to go sit on Santa's lap.

My little nephew, Brent, that wanted nothing to do with Santa.

Hunter and Alex both got to go help Santa ring the bells for the song "Jingle Bells" The other pictures are cute pic's of Eric's family.

The Forgotton Carols

17 years ago I got a CD called the Forgotten Carols for Christmas. The next year I learned there was a story and a play that went along with it. I had to have tickets to the play because I fell in love with the book and music.

A few years ago it became tradition to read the story for family home evening. Then 4 years ago my sweet mother in law decided to make a tradition of taking all the girls out to see the play. Now my daughters are just as in love with the play, story and music as I am.

What a sweet tradition for us to be a part of. Especially when it brings such a wonderful spirit to the holiday season. It makes me so thankful for other peoples talents and that they are so willing to share.

Thanksgiving Day

Christmas Ornament tradition

Every year each one of us gets a new ornament to represent things in our lives that we like for the past year.

This year

Braydon started guitar lessons--

Hunter lives for lego's so when I found a lego ornament that was the one for him.

Sidney got a trumpet, she is amazing on her horn. I wanted her to remember the good times she has had in band this past year.
Alex's ornament is a rock. She loves rocks and with all the rock hunting we have done she needed something to remind her of that.

Hunter turns 7

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!

I can't believe how fast the last 7 years have gone. My baby turned 7 today.

He was a hard baby but he was well worth it. He is a great part of our family. We wouldn't be the same without him.

My Favorite Things about Hunter:
He is creative.
He is artistic.
He is funny.
He is sweet.
He has a strong testimony.
He try's to do what is right.
He is smart.

He loves to learn.

Hunter lives for his legos. The only thing he had on his list for Santa for over a month was legos. So what kind of cake do you do for a boy that loves legos. Well a lego cake. I have never worked with fondant before and it was so easy. It doesn't taste all that great but maybe next time we will try homemade fondant and see if it is any better. I think his cake turned out great and he loves it.

Halloween 2009

It was so fun this year to help Hunter make his costume. He looked so great. Everyone at school loved it too. As he was walking in to school all the kids were pointing and shouting "look at the robot" , "Hi, robot", "that robot is so cool."

Hunter had been saving boxes and "stuff" to make his robot since August. Yes you read that right, August. It sure was worth it.

I don't have any great pictures though do to my camera getting broke. So here at atleast a few. I am so sad that I really don't have any of Alex.

She was so cute as Pocahontas. Sidney was a prisoner with Braydon a cop. What a fun Halloween.

Our family Halloween party was fun as always. Here are the kids hitting the pinata.

Sidney and Alex's Bedroom. Project Complete!!

I have loved the girls bedroom from the day we moved in. I think that the colors were so cute and cheery. I loved the fairies that adorned the walls. But all good things must come to an end. Sidney thinks that the room is too girly and not just that little girly.

So as the mother of a preteen and teenage girl, I must relent and let them help to create a room to last through the next 6 years. So this weekend I went to work and this is what happened.....
It turned out so cute. I have so much paint left, I wish I could think of another room to paint like the green striped wall. But this is defiantly a teenagers room! Don't you think??
